Valentines Day! We had our class day Valentine party this morning. Tyler was up until 1 this morning and Will was up at 530 so I was exhausted. I don't know how I ran on no sleep when Tyler was a baby. Tyler shares his toys so well with Grace. She is a sweet kid.
We were supposed to bring something to share for brunch so we brought the cookies they made last night and ordered 10 sausage biscuits from Kimbrell's to pick up on the way.
The kids Valentines boxes.
Will and I played bean bag toss a little differently than most do. We sat there and hit at it and then Will crawled off with it.
Then Tyler and Grace came and joined in.
The crazy boys ran around the gym with buckets on their head.
After the party we met the Yanceys at a consignment sale in Hueytown. Sissy loves her baby Will
This was a cute picture that was impossible to get. They were both laying on their tummies playing our phones. In order to get a picture I had to take my phone.
The 3 of them ran around this circle a hundred times.
We had some candy left over from our Valentines party this morning so we decided to go to the nursing home and pass it out. Hailey ran in to CVS and picked up a couple more bags. It sounded like such a quick and easy trip. It. Was. Not. We were there just shy of 3 hours and passed out candy to over 90 residents. Our candy supply brought up memories of Jesus and the fish and loaves. We managed to finish with exactly no candy left. All 3 kids wanted to give candy to every person we saw. The residents loved seeing the kids in their cute Valentines clothes and getting some hugs and candy. I really hope we do this more often. I want my children to have the memories I have of visiting nursing homes. Mom, I had no clue how much work this was for you! You are the bomb!
These two are ridiculously silly. They are such good friends right now. I will be sad if they outgrow it one day.
When we got home Bill had me flowers and a new charm for my bracelet. I love the picture of a husband that he tries to show our sons.
I stayed up for maybe 10 minutes after we got home and then I took a wonderful, long nap. I woke up feeling so refreshed and have been taking to Tyler all night about what it means for Jesus to love us and how much mommy and daddy love him and Will and each other.
The last thing I told him was that I wished every child in the world could be as loved as he is. Every child needs this kind of love and affection. I am praying for God to show Bill and I how we can show his love to those who are without it. As I think of kids around the world who cry themselves to sleep because of hunger, abuse or other horrors of this world I pray that God sends them a comforter. It occurs to me that it is possible that one day Bill and I could be called to love a child who is somewhere right now without love and safety tonight. I pray especially for them and for the future wives of my sons.
After I finished this Tyler told me he wants our family to have 6 kids. I told him I didn't know how many kids God has for our family. He told us God had him, Will, Kason, Sissy, Lilli and Jacob. I am thinking we will have a hard time convincing their parents to let us have them. He did say if we couldn't get them we could have a baby sister and name her Lakey. I told him we will see.
