Big Boy Bath

Tuesday, I decided to try bathing Tyler in his big boy bath tub instead of just bathing him in the sink. Who knew that infant bath tubs had a learning curve? I filled it up with it sitting on the sink and counter and then put him right in. Next came the completely unforseeable consequence of water spilling out into the floor as it was forced out of the tub. That water added to all the water he splashed out left me with a small pond to clean up after bath time. Even though it was a complete mess, it wasn't a complete bust. Tyler enjoyed laying back and splashing, but I think we will stick to the sink for the next little while.

Katie Noel Hardin

On September 20, our family lost a sweet baby. Katie Noel Hardin passed away September 20 for reasons that remain unknown. She was a pint-sized bundle of joy who had the longest eyelashes framing beautiful, innocent eyes. She was trusting, loving and brought a smile to everyone she met. Simply put, she was perfect. Her parents, Sarah and Wes, are in need of prayer so if you are reading this, whether it be months or years from now, please breathe a prayer for them. In less than a year, I have watched three mothers bury their children. Grandmother, Jackie and now Sarah carry with them daily a burden that most of us will fortunately never know. When you think of them, please pray for all mothers and fathers who have to try to live without their children.

We're Back!

We have replaced all of the stuff that was taken with the exception of the TV. I am gonna let Bill pick out that one. My insurance adjuster let me combine the value of the two digital cameras that were taken to allow me to get a new Nikon D3000. It is a little above my head for now. When I got it out of the box at Jessica's I couldn't even turn it on but I am slowly learning my way around it. Soon I should be able to take some great pictures of my little guy. Luckily, Lydia has been hanging around with her camera so we didn't go an entire month without pictures. Thanks Aunt Bean:)
In the time we have been gone, Tyler has started rolling from his back and laughing. His laugh is so cute and he just smiles and coos all the time now.
He is changing so quickly and will be crawling in no time.
