Three Month Pictures
So , I still haven’t taken Tyler to have professional pictures made. I want to wait until close to his 6 month birthday and get those pictures and Christmas pictures made at the same time. I also want him to be sitting up so hopefully that will happen soon. I have been taking monthly pictures of him with his onesie stickers though. Since the 2 month pictures were stolen with my camera, we are just doing 3, 6, 9 and 12 month pictures. Here are some of the 3 month ones. The background I am using for all of these is an afghan my Grandmother made for Tyler. I just love the bright colors and think it makes such a perfect backdrop for my little man!

Tyler's First Foods
Sunday, October 18th, Tyler had his first taste of solids. We tried rice cereal and sweet potatoes. At first, he wasn’t sure but he quickly realized that this stuff was good! It was a messy job, ending up with sweet potato in his ear Since then he has eaten bananas and butternut squash too. It is just about impossible to feed him as fast has he wants you to, and he has to have quite a bit to be satisfied. I made all of his baby food which was much easier than I had thought it would be, and cheap! Unfortunately we had to give it a break though because I thought it was giving him too much gas which was keeping him up at night. I can’t say for sure though that it has gotten any better since then so it was probably just a coincidence that the two started at the same time. We'll try again around 6 months.

Roll Tide, and a Little One on the Way!
No, not for us. But for some dear friends of ours. Saturday, October 17th we went and watched Alabama’s homecoming game with Jonathan and Jennifer. Just that week they had announced that they are expecting a little one due June 12, the day after Tyler’s birthday! We had a great time , and of course Alabama won! And I have no idea why I didn’t have Tyler dressed in his Bama gear :( Congratulations Jonathan and Jennifer!

4 Month Check-up
Tree Planting
So this is extremely late. So I am a horrible blogger. Oh well. Better late than never!
On Sunday October 11, our family had a "tree planting". My Mom has always planted a tree for the new arrival of family members so Matt and Tyler were due a tree. However, none of the trees were planted at my parents house since there have been no new additions since they built it. We decided it was only fitting to plant a whole bunch of trees for all of us there. The day we picked was my Nannie's birthday. It was a great way to celebrate all the new additions to our family and the life of my Nannie. However, we did plant on a Sunday so Me-Maw would say that they won't grow. Guess we will just have to wait and see who wins, Nannie or Me-Maw :)
I hope that we continue this tradition for many years to come. As our family grows so will these trees.
