First Sickness
Tuesday Tyler started acting a little sick. He has had a good bit of congestion and was sleepy for a couple of days. With the Swine Flu on the news every time you look, I have been a little stressed but so far we don't have any fever. I am running a cool mist humidifier and suctioning his little nose quite often. This is just another "first" we were going to have to experience. I had just hoped it would be later on.
Blogging Break Due to Crooks
Well, I haven't been able to update lately because some lovely thieves decided to come into my house and take my laptop among other things. Last Thursday, while Tyler and I were suffering standing in line at the courthouse for 8.5 hours, someone came into my house and took our stuff. Aside from my laptop they took my cameras and video camera. So, I can't blog and I can't take pictures until I can blog later. Thanks so much crooks!

First Day of School
Brianna started big school Wednesday. She showed us very quickly that all our worries were for nothing. She walked in with su
ch confidence and even rode the bus home. I am so proud of all the hard work she has done to get to where she is.

It was also Matt's first day at OGHS. This is how he described his first day to Lydia when they were leaving school :
Me: So Matt, how was your first day of school?
Matt: Well my backpack broke and stuff went everywhere, I got sticky stuff on my shirt, I lost my lunch money check, I didn't eat my lunch, and the bathroom didn't have soap...BUT 6 girls like me so far so it was a good day.
I think he is gonna be just fine.

Vaccination Time
On the way home from the lake Tuesday, me and Mom went to Tyler's 2 month check up. He got his first shots, and even though he did scream when they stuck him both times, he calmed down pretty quickly. I am glad that is over. He weighed 10 lb 11 oz and was 23 inches long which puts him in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. Dr. Israel said all of his newborn screening tests came back normal and that he looked great!
Vacation Time
Evan's sister, Ashley, got married at Children's Harbor in Alexander City. My parents decided since we would be so close to Lake Martin they would just rent a house for all of us to stay in. We went down Friday, the 7th, and stayed until Tuesday. The wedding was wonderful and Ashley made such a beautiful bride. Bill took the boat and all of us (Dad, Mom, Bill, me, Tyler, Hannah, Lydia, Ben, Matthew, Evan and Adam) had a great time relaxing, playing in the water and enjoying a few rounds of some intense charades. Just to make it official by putting it in writing, the GIRLS won Monday night! Tyler won't remember his first vacation, but it was a great one.

Growing Family
For Aunt Hannah
J.T.
Saturday, August 1st,was J.T.'s 8th birthday. That is the reason it has taken me so long to post a new update. I just don't know what to say. I miss him, it hurts, I am still heartbroken. None of these words seem to capture what I feel. I just sit down and cry every time I try to write this update and it is just too hard. The pain is still too fresh to say too much, but I can say a little. Tyler owes J.T. big time. I will be a better mother to him because of the love and relationship I had with J.T. He taught me so much and I just wish he was still here to be the big brother to Tyler that he so wanted to be. I love you J.T.!
