Tonight on the way home from church, Tyler was babbling trying to stay awake. I heard Brianna start talking to him so sweet so I listened up. She was saying, “I hear you singing Tyler, it is so pretty. You want me to sing with you? La la la la la la la. Good job sweet baby.” Ah, I just love her.

Since it was so pretty out today, I had the front door open to let in the light. As soon as Tyler realized it was open he started scooting that way. He laid in front of the door looking outside and would turn around and look at me as if to say “Can we go out now?” I am ready too buddy!

Somehow, within an hour’s time, Tyler developed his first real diaper rash this evening. It came out of nowhere and my heart just broke looking at it. I didn’t handle it too well and sort of commanded Bill to get him in the tub immediately like it was a life threatening situation. Bill soaked him in the tub and let him play in the water for a bit and then I got him dried off, put some Butt Paste on and had Hannah hand me a cloth diaper. He doesn’t seem to mind it too badly so hopefully it isn’t as bad as it looks. Still, I am so sad.

Are you taking my picture AGAIN?
Well, we had a good run there for a while but Tyler has started waking up ready to party a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. I can’t figure out why it happens but he is wide a wake all of the sudden and refuses to go back to sleep. Last night, I fixed him a 2 oz bottle thinking that he would fall asleep before he drank anymore. When that didn’t work, I played with him for a little bit then fixed him another 2 oz bottle. I mean, he HAS to be exhausted, right? Still up. So, I played some more and finally decided if he insisted on being up I was going to try to accomplish something. So, I fixed 4 oz bottle and propped him up on a pillow in his bedroom floor while I cleaned out his closet. Didn’t work. He stayed up as long as his body would let him and finally went to sleep right before 4. He was sitting in front of me laying on the couch and his head flung back and that was all she wrote. I really do hope he decides to sleep tonight!

I noticed when we were playing that his hair is really starting to grow, so I decided to snap a picture. For anyone who hasn’t been able to see him much, you can see that he is most definitely a red head. Don’t tell his Daddy, though. He is certain Tyler has blonde hair with blue eyes :)

Today, Tyler and I went to Peyton’s third birthday party. It was so nice to see everyone and all the little ones. Everything was decorated so cute and Peyton was such a sweet birthday boy. As soon as we got there he ran and told Amber that he wanted to hold the baby. So sweet. I finally got to get a picture of Tyler and Loxton together. Tyler and Loxton were due on the same day and ended up being born a day apart. Loxton is one day older. In Bill’s big group of friends there are around 10 boys ages 5 and under. No girls yet. I can imagine in a few years we are all gonna have our hands full keeping up with these little men!

It seems that we may have found the key to getting Tyler to nap. Bundle him up and put him in his stroller for a ride around the block and he just about cannot stay awake. The only problem is, as soon as you move him he is up again!
Tuesday, the 16th, Jessica and Jackson stopped by for some play time. The boys had toys all over the place in no time and I so enjoy watching them together. I consider it such a blessing that Jessica and I have such happy, healthy boys so close in age. It’s gonna be a fun ride!
On Saturday, February 13th, Tyler started taking formula. I know this may seem like a strange thing to blog about, but my main reason for keeping a blog is to keep sort of a virtual baby book and this is a big change for us. This wasn’t something I wanted to happen and I stressed over it a lot but in the end, it was the only choice. He made the switch with absolutely no problems and I am so thankful for that.
My living room is a constant disaster since Tyler started being mobile. There are toys everywhere and to be honest, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

February 12th, all of the states but Hawaii had snow! It was the perfect snow. Just enough to cover the ground but not enough to knock out the power and satellite. Tyler really didn’t seem to care much about it, but it was fun for me and Bill.
What a jump! Lilli’s first birthday on Saturday and Paw Paw’s 88th on Sunday. After an all night stay in the ER with Jackie’s baby John ( he is perfect, no worries), I came home and got a power nap to get ready to go again to celebrate Bill’s Paw Paw’s 88th birthday. He got lots of money and lots of love. We love you Paw Paw and can’t wait for 89!

The past year has FLOWN! Our sweet Lilli turned one on the 11th and we celebrated her birthday on the 6th at the OGFBC Family Life Center. Whitney and Aunt Angel had it decorated so cute and girly and Lilli was adorable. She was so funny when she was opening her presents. She kept nodding off and falling asleep :) Our princess needed a nap.

Thursday, January 28th, Tyler and I were getting ready to go have some fun with Jessica, Jackson and Breanna when he started getting very fussy. Bill was home from hunting so he tried to calm him down and offered him his finger to chew on and discovered the beginnings of a tooth! Bill refused to hold him down and pry open his mouth to get a picture of the little tooth but I still had to take some pictures to mark the day :)

On January 27th, Tyler had an unquenchable appetite. I fed him three times the normal amount for lunch until he went into some kind of food coma. Then, all of the sudden he just started acting goofy :)
