Babies Update
My lovely sister and her friend Cheree were kind enough to take Tyler for a while today so I could go and see Jackie and the boys. They were both tube free and doing great. I got to watch Jackie feed John Michael and it was so sweet. Here are some of the pictures I got while I was there. John Michael is in the hat and Jacob is in the bed.

Babies!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, I am caught up enough to post about the arrival of John Michael and Jacob Ryan Newsome! I started catching this up last night so that I could post about them on their birthday if they were born today. John Michael and Jacob Ryan made their way into this world today at 1:20 p.m. weighing 3 lb 12 oz and 4 lb 14 oz respectively. John Michael was born first making him the bigger smaller baby :) Jacob has a head full of dark hair and John Michael has a head full of blonde hair. They are perfect and doing so well, and my heart just grew the moment I laid eyes on them. Jackie is exhausted but overjoyed. I got Brianna off the bus today and gave her her “Big Sister” shirt and told her that her babies were here. I don’t think she understood it at first but when she did, she was ready to be there! She is going to be a great big sister! My Mom came and picked up Tyler so Bri and I could head up there. Mom and Dad stayed home instead of going to see the boys so that I could and I am so thankful. I don't know what I would do without them. I never thought I would be raising babies with Jackie but I can’t wait to watch our boys grow and play together. We are most thankful for this special gift this Christmas.
Hannah has more pictures on her camera that I can tell which is which on but she is asleep and I can’t find it yet.

Six Month Check Up
I can’t believe I forgot to post this one in order, but Tyler had his six month check up on Thursday, December 11th. He weighed 13 lb 14 oz and was 25.5 inches long making him, well, tiny. He is the 5th percentile for weight but he is growing fine and Dr. Israel was happy with his growth. He had to get 5 shots – 3 regular immunizations, the swine flu and regular flu – but he really did a great job. Once again, I was more upset afterwards than he was. Dr. Israel said we could step up the solids and even feed him a bit off our plate when we wanted to. Mom had one question – can he have a french fry? Dr. Israel said it would be fine so at that moment I knew had been defeated. Mom wore me down while we were at McDonald’s and Tyler had his first french fry. He didn’t even seem to care anything about it but if you ask his Granny, he loved it :) I forgot my camera so there are no pictures, but after the doctor and his first trip to McDonald’s we also took him to ToysRUs for the first time. Mom showed him around and I know that he will be begging Granny to take him there again in no time.
Granny Feeding her Big Boy
Mom thinks that we are starving Tyler so she loves to get to load him up with baby food – and he might like it a little bit too :)
3rd Annual Christmas Party
Saturday night after our Clifton Christmas, we headed to Christy and Jeremy’s house for our annual Christmas party. I am so glad we do it every year because it is so hard to get everyone together with the crazy schedules we keep. We had a great time and are so thankful to Christy and Jeremy for hosting this year and to my parents for keeping Tyler so we could go!
